Board of Adjustment

A judicial board, this body is charged with making decisions regarding variances to city ordinances. The Board of Adjustment shall be composed of members who are resident citizens, taxpayers, and qualified voters of the City of Kaufman.

The board is a quasi-judicial board that decides the special needs of our citizens that conflict with the zoning laws of the City.

Purpose

The purpose of the Board of Adjustment (BOA) is to protect the community from unsafe buildings and substandard housing. They hear all appeals to the Building Official's decisions.
